To Jesus, the Risen Lord

May the power of your resurrection, Lord,
be present to us in this Holy Communion,
and strengthen us to see and to accept
your Passion in us -
the trials and difficulties of this life.
May we so sustain them
that they may become in us
nothing less than the grinding of the wheat
and the crushing of the grape
whereby we may become your clear wine,
and, at your word,
be transformed into your likeness. Amen.
